The M26-PDW-M1 is the World's smallest and lightest box magazine-fed 12 gauge shotgun. Manually operated, hand-fired and light weight, this shotgun is based on the U.S. Army's only type classified shotgun system, the M26 MASS. The M26-PDW-M1 weighs only 2.77 lbs. and fires all available 12 gauge munitions including breeching and less-lethal. Ideal for breeching and personal defense.
Some are and some are not. The M26 MASS and M26 CMCS models have a 7.75 inch barrel and are designated as a SBS (Short Barrel Shotgun / Title 2 Firearm). The M26 PDW model has a barrel length of 3.25 inches but because it has a pistol grip and no butt stock it is designated as an AOW (Any Other Weapon / Title 2 Firearm). The M26 CMC model has an 18.25" barrel and is designated as a standard Shotgun (Title 1 Firearm).
It depends on the model. The M26 CMC is a title 1 standard shotgun with an 18 inch barrel. All of the other M26 models have a barrel length less than 18 inches and are title 2 (NFA Class 3) firearms.
As a firearms manufacturer, we do not sell direct to consumers, therefore you will need to contact a SOT firearms dealer in your state that can process transfers of title 2 / NFA class III firearms. The dealer will advise if the M26 is legal for consumers to own in your state, require that you complete a background check, and process your application for transfer with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (BATF). If approved, the dealer will then provide the necessary information to us to submit a Form 3 transfer to BATF for the transfer of the M26 to the dealer. This process can take 2 months or more to complete.
To purchase the M26-CMC standard Shotgun, you can contact a standard title 1 FFL Dealer in your state to process your background check and transfer.
